I need to find some good WordPress Themes, can you recommend some, where are the best?
I deal with this question almost daily in my work, and I’m glad to share where I regularly find great, simple, flexible and functional WordPress themes.
Theme Forest – https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress
- good prices, open market with varying creators so look up reviews, general quality is good, but you can get a bad theme
Woo Themes – https://www.woothemes.com/themes/
- excellent quality, extra perks built into the back-end of their themes. i use these most often
Pagelines – https://www.pagelines.com/themes/
- only a few themes but high quality and a very flexible format, can be tricky for the novice
Elegant Themes – https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/
- loads of extra features, one man operation, one price for access to all themes. sometime some tricky or hard to work with back-ends
NOTE: Why I don’t recommend Headway, Genesis, or Thesis. As great as those themes are, and they really are great, is that they provide you with a blank canvas with infinite easy to choose and mold options. Some people will love that, most of those people have more than basic WordPress experience and some designer type status. I specifically don’t recommend these themes to my users because a blank canvas is a powerful, bewildering, option heavy thing to take on. I assert my clients find a theme they really love, something that fits them like a nice pair of pants, because a designer is going to do it better than they are, even if they think they know what they want.
It’s not always the right route, but to save time and in essence money, it’s the one I most commonly recommend. If they want to work extensively with a designer to craft every little element, that’s a different story, most aren’t interested though.
